Share with your family things your saw and did today at Glenbow Ranch.
Dear Families,
We are looking forward to our class going on the field trip Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park tomorrow, Wednesday, September 20th.
Please have your child come to school on time and prepared with a mid-morning snack and hearty lunch.
We ask that students bring their regular backpacks that will be able to hold their lunch, their water bottle, and layers of clothing. Depending on the weather, should it go from cold and damp to warm, students may then roll up their jackets when not needed and put in their backpacks. We will be walking for most of the day and will be walking with their hands free.
The forecast tomorrow includes periods of clouds and sun with a couple of showers; colder with a high of 8 degrees.
Students should be dressed in layers prepared for this seasonal weather. Students should wear a water repelling layer. Due to the cold temperature and being in the open cold prairie winds, students need to have a toque on to cover their ears and forehead. Students also need light mitts to keep their hands warm. Students should also wear solid walking footwear that will keep their feet dry, such as rubber boots or other footwear suitable for hiking in damp weather. Wearing warm socks is also important. As well, please have your child pack an extra pair of socks in case theirs gets wet.
